Robert Half Court Reporter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are looking for a meticulous Court Reporter to join our team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing court proceedings, ensuring thorough documentation for reference and legal records. The successful candidate will be adept at using relevant technology and software, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately transcribe court proceedings in real-time

• Utilize AI technology to enhance transcriptions

• Deliver transcriptions to opposing counsel with an option for purchase

• Ensure all transcriptions are completed within a 48-hour timeframe

• Use Adobe Acrobat and other relevant software to maintain and manage documentation

• Employ strong writing skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in transcriptions

• Apply proofreading skills to check for errors in transcriptions

• Utilize strong communication skills to interact with the legal team and clients

• Employ typing skills to transcribe court proceedings, with a focus on accuracy over speed

• Handle billing functions and other administrative tasks as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Docs Open, e-Copy, and Elite Enterprise.

• Demonstrated skills in computer word processing.

• Experience in billing functions and briefing.

• Ability to create charts and graphs.

• Excellent communication and writing skills.

• Familiarity with consumer electronics.

• Proficient typing and transcribing abilities.

• Experience in transcription.

• Ability to work with a team and independently.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Familiarity with legal terminology and court proceedings is a plus.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Higher education in a relevant field is a plus.

• Professional certification in court reporting is advantageous.
