What success looks like in this role:

Cloud and Infrastructure (C&I) is Unisys' Cloud business unit with the goal to deliver extraordinary value for all clients through the effective use of hybrid-cloud solutions. As part of this team, this role encompasses strategic planning, operational planning and management, technical sales and engagement management, project management, technical management and technical architecture with an emphasis on new business capture, business and/or technical architectural solutions, margin erosion prevention and operational excellence. Interfaces at the client's senior management levels, up to the CEO level. Leads the technical or business management and/or delivery of replicable services and solutions into targeted high-growth markets for new and existing clients. Evaluates business strategy, objectives and requirements. Sells (i.e., qualifies, forecasts, prices, negotiates) services within one's area of expertise. Using advanced consulting methodologies, translates the client's long-range business plan into a services strategy. Consults with clients to establish their strategic direction. Interfaces with the client's most senior executive team to generate additional business. May be asked to start up a new practice or program from a portfolio development perspective and ensures the practice is consistent with Unisys strategy. Demonstrates experience as a leader in defining architectural solutions using 3D-VE techniques, methods and tools for large, complex, mission critical projects. Fully understands Unisys technology strategy, 3D-VE methods, 3D-VE tooling, large project technical management and project remediation approaches

Key Responsibilities: Fills a regional senior architect functional role to build quality solutions that meet the requirements and advises clients on Unisys Solution offerings, strategy, designs, implementation approaches and alternatives / tradeoffs. Identifies opportunities for new or follow-on business and assists in creating change orders. * Reviews contract terms and conditions Manages / supports Targeted Account Selling, Black Hat Reviews, Deal Review Board and other internal review preparation and presentations. Leads or participates in overall account strategy development. Uses expert knowledge in one or more business domains, industries or horizontal business functions to advise clients and identify profitable growth opportunities aligned with the Unisys solution portfolio Evaluates requirements for large / complex projects ensuring requirements management and traceability processes are established and maintained. Creates business models and business cases during Unisys advisory services that define the client's future strategy. Leads and may have regional responsibility for advisory services, strategic planning activities and business case development within the assigned Unisys portfolio areas. Mentors junior architects on advisory services delivery. Leads Unisys Area of Strength portfolio strategy presenta ions to clients including features, implementation approach, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits. Assumes a leadership position on and uses understanding of Unisys Portfolio Resources for new business opportunities. Performs responsibilities including portfolio solution selection, proposal management, solution design, solution review, risk analysis, proposal preparation and client presentations. Provides technical oversight and approval for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques. Uses portfolio solution knowledge and Portfolio Center resources to lead the technical portion of the bid process including design reviews, bid reviews, portfolio component selection, development case definition and system integration approach. May define the business unit portfolio offerings from both the sales and technical due diligence perspectives acting in a CTO-like functional role Adheres to and promotes appropriate SDF processes, architectural artifact requirements and architectural best practices. Maintains knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards and design techniques. Provides architectural guidance for the largest, most complex projects during the design and implementation phases. Provides project oversight and acts as a subject matter expert resource to clients on Portfolio Solution processes, required products, product configuration, solution integration, implementation methodologies, resource requirements, implementation timelines supported by industry domain experience. Interfaces to all levels of the client's organization on solution implementation progress, technical issues, proper practices and technical requirements. Acts as the single point of contact for large client portfolio solution implementations including regional oversight of engagements within the assigned portfolio area. Provides intervention in client remediation and architectural stabilization Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the broad spectrum of technology areas including trends, standards, products and techniques and uses this information to implement organizational strategy *Promotes / evangelizes the use of Unisys standard SDF methods, tools and processes for the client engagement and may develop new methods for the SDF Performs reviews of projects with cost / effort overruns or where a client satisfaction issue exists. Develops remediation plans and works with client to resolve issues to improve the Unisys / Client relationship. May develop Technical Evaluation Deal Review reports as required by the Deal Review Board (DRB) Provides guidance on standard project management techniques and best practices including industry practices promoted by PMI, PRINCE2 and/or IPMA Is responsible and accountable for project margin maintenance related to solution design, technical feasibility, solution functionality and solution performance as well as the overall successful delivery of the architectural solution Presents / publishes technology, architecture or application solution-based papers to major conferences and publications Shares senior practitioner experience with peers by hosting courses and/or community events as well as by contributing to the Unisys collaboration environment People Management Assigns and reviews tasks, mentors junior architects, manages performance feedback, and creates development plans consistent with performing the role of project or program manager

You will be successful in this role if you have: Master's Degree, Ph.D or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of relevant IT implementation experience..
