Overview
We are seeking a Software Developer to support configuration management needs of our team.
You will be involved in development, maintenance, and use of the customers "home grown" configuration management tool.
This position is located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs.
- Must have an active Top secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI status.
Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Use the configuration management tool to support integration efforts at customer sites and help guide development and maintenance of the application.
Visit sites to track changes to the mission equipment and support integration and upgrade projects.
Capturing configuration changes and updating the information within the management software.
Continue develop of the software using Visual Basic programming language.
Establish/create a facility baseline, identify and update facility drawings within the facility management program to reflect new or upgraded hardware installations.
Assist in auditing ongoing projects, future projects, and installs in Denver and Colorado Springs locations on a quarterly basis.
Work closely with maintenance personnel to monitor power needs and physical requirements of new hardware installations within the facilities.
Work with the Configuration Management/Quality Assurance (CM/QA) engineer to assist in the monitoring and auditing of all ongoing projects and installs to ensure CM and QA measures are met.
Use Solid Edge 3-D modeling software to create and update models of facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
The candidate must be knowledgeable with application development, preferably with the .NET framework.
3+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree
Must be able to work within the application and be very familiar with Visual Basic.
Experience with Air Force technical orders, technical drawings and configuration management is a plus.
Must have an active and transferrable DoD top secret security clearance with the ability to get an SCI. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
Preferred E xperience
- Experience with Solid Edge 3D modelling.
