Description/Job Summary

TITLE: Cook 2

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance to the production schedule and standard recipe cards. Inspects and tastes food during preparation to ensure the standards of quality. Ensures that all items assigned are prepared in accordance to the production schedule.

TASKS

  • Ensures that the required quantity of food is prepared in accordance to the production schedule and recipe cards.

  • Responsible for the proper use of gloves, utensils and portion control when serving food items.

  • Ensures that hot and cold food are served at the correct temperature and served attractively.

  • Communicate in a timely manner with the kitchen staff regarding the amount of food on hand and its quality.

  • Ensures that all unserved food is taken to the kitchen for proper storage and ensures that assigned work area is properly cleaned.

  • Assists in serving the customers in a proper and courteous manner.

  • Ensures proper cleaning and sanitizing of all food service equipment, utensils and kitchen area.

  • Breaks down serving lines and ensures that all food considered to be a leftover is properly labeled.

  • Receives and checks all incoming food and ensures that it is properly stored.

  • Performs any other duties assigned.

PAY RATE: $18.25
