Description

Robert Half is in search for a Senior Accountant. As the Senior Account, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger accounts; month end journal entries and reconciliations across all divisions. This role provides significant learning opportunities as it encompasses day to day accounting duties as well as involvement in several project-based initiatives to improve the reporting and accounting functions. The Senior Accountant uses professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities and duties other than what is listed below may be required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the role.

· Produce accurate trial balance monthly

· Weekly bank account reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries

· Balance Sheet account reconciliations

· Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledger for multiple subsidiaries

· Research court refund checks and issue customer refunds

· Prepare and process journal entries for revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounts

· Prepare partner commissions reporting

· Identify and resolve billing errors on customer invoices

· Manage Unclaimed Properties GL Account, reconciliation, and state compliance

· Manage deferred revenue and cost of sales

· Assist with annual audit

Requirements

Job Specifications

Education and Experience

· Minimum of five (3) years of accounting experience including bank and general ledger reconciliations

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience

· Experience working within a software as a service (SaaS) company preferred, in the legal services industry would be an added benefit

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes related to accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger
