IBM Accountant - General Ledger (Chinese Speaking) in PETALING JAYA, Malaysia
Introduction
IBM Accounting Kuala Lumpur (IAKL), which commenced operations in Malaysia in 1994, provides world-class accounting services, demonstrating its outstanding leadership in supporting the Accounting processes and analysis, financial systems and process controls for the Asia Pacific.
Your role and responsibilities
• Provide accounting support to countries in the Asia Pacific region
• Prepare local financial statements in accordance with local GAAP
• Comply with the country's legal and statutory reporting requirements
• Provide advice and counsel to management on US and country Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and guidelines
• Perform self-inspection of work areas and implement measures to ensure compliance with IBM accounting and country practices and guidelines.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation and journal booking for accurate bookkeeping
Required technical and professional expertise
• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting/Banking/ Commerce Accounting, Business Studies/ Administration/Management (Major in Finance or Accounting will be added advantages)
• A strong academic background with either First Class Honours or a robust Second Class Upper Honours degree (Minimum CGPA 3.0).
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Chinese and English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Quick learner with the capability to absorb professional knowledge rapidly.
• Proficiency in IT skills relevant to job requirements.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
