Job Description

As a result of a significant project pipeline, our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Team based in our Perth Resources and Industry Group (R&I) has an opportunity for an Experienced Professional to support our growth.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Provide high-quality design services across lighting, HV, LV, instrumentation, controls and communications

  • Assist with quality assurance to ensure work meets quality standards and quality specifications.

  • Work with various stakeholders including other members of the internal design team, engineers and project managers to assist with the design, documentation and coordination on projects.

  • Mentor younger engineers within the broader AECOM business whilst liaising with Engineers across various disciplines on a variety of projects.

  • Engage with client stakeholders and develop strong relationships

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems;

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of industrial and mining systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems;

  • Proficient in producing and reviewing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions;

  • Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs;

  • Power system modelling using PTW and/or Powerfactory would be an advantage, but not essential.

  • You will be someone who is looking to achieve outstanding results and most importantly, be someone that enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting ideas, and encouraging others to develop their skills and experience;
