Cost Accountant

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Create and manage the stage schedule for each design change
Prepare and lead cross-functional Kick-off Meetings so all departments understand their responsibilities
Create and Manage the part list as the design/information changes for each program
Gather and review cost estimation sheet from AMC-s to ensure accuracy
Conduct variance analysis due to changes in design/process to benchmark for future activity
Work with Engineering team to develop cost reduction ideas
Complete the presentation materials that will be presented to the Executives
Coordinate value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities with Sales and Engineering teams
Create, maintain, resolve open issues list related to cost planning activities
Provide supporting documents/analysis to Management in preparation for the Global Conference
Work with AMC-s to confirm capital investment that is needed for certain parts
Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (Kaizen)
This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 and newer is required
Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills are required
Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required
