POSITION GOALS
Assist the BBTC Director to administer a sound and effective postsecondary college and adult education program and to use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.
- Establish and maintain an effective learning climate
- Establish and maintain favorable relationships with all stakeholders to foster understanding and solicit support for the overall school objectives and programs
- Assist with the organize and supervision of student activities and attend special events held to recognize student achievement and school sponsored activities
- Use current research, performance data and feedback from students, employees, Institutional Advisory Committee (IAC), Occupational Advisory Committees (OACs), business and industry and community members to make decisions related to improvement of instructional and student performance
- Prepares and submits applications, reports, schedules, surveys, projects, statements, etc., as required by the school, district, state and federal agencies and by the Superintendent and School Board. Maintains complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations and directives by the Superintendent
Align school initiatives with District, state and federal requirements
Assist the Director with the care and protection of all property assigned to the school
- Keep abreast of all legal requirements and proposed changes
- Maintain membership in the North Florida Career Pathways Consortium (NFCPC), Florida Association for Career and Technical Education (FACTE) and the Florida Leadership for Career and Technical Education (FLCTE) organizations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Ability to: read, interpret and enforce State Board rules and School Board policies interview, select and evaluate personnel
promote career and technical and adult education through interaction with community, organizations, agencies, business and industry effectively use problem solving skills and effective communication skills manage, interpret and report state and federal data (WDIS, IPEDS, COE) conduct staff meetings for all personnel and applicable professional development as required maintain contact with other school districts to share and receive information on effective programs and practices
Knowledge of: current occupational and technical trends Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) CTE and Adult education programs and policies including but not limited to dual enrollment, CAPE Legislation, industry certifications, Carl D. Perkins Federal Grants and completion, placement and licensure requirements Federal Financial Aid procedures and policies
SUPERVISES: Instructional, Administrative and Non-instructional Personnel as assigned by the Director of BBTC
