Job Summary:

As a Development Analyst, you are responsible for providing analytical sample processing and data review to support SOS SM Services initiatives. You will use a variety of analytical techniques and wet chemistry to process oil, fuel, and source water and/or coolant samples submitted by customers. Engineers and dealers use results to manage equipment preventive maintenance schedules.

  • This position is a 2nd shift position with working hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST.

  • This position is located in Peoria, IL.

  • This position does not offer relocation.

What You Will Do:

  • ISO 9001 Quality System

  • Services Manager Training

  • Safety Training

  • Sample Registration, Prep and Handling (receipt to disposal)

  • Material Inspection and Supply Receipt

  • Daily Customer Interactions via telephone or e-mail

  • Collect and evaluate Data and LIMS transfer

  • Waste Disposal and EHS compliance

  • Oil Testing (Particle Count Analysis, Viscosity Analysis, Sample Dilution, FTIR Analysis, Gas Chromatography, ICP Analysis, Visual Inspection, Titrations)

  • Coolant Testing

  • Ownership of Designated Processes

  • Completion Billing form and Received Dates

  • Instrument Troubleshooting

  • Preparation of Reagents and standards

  • Identifying problem areas

What You Have:

  • Four-year degree in Chemistry or related field (Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office and the ability to complete basic computer tasks

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Previous experience working in a lab environment

  • Experience with basic laboratory skills such as lab safety (PPE, handling hazardous materials, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically experience and willingness to operate in a team environment and communicate well with others
