Navy Federal Credit Union Business Intelligence Analyst (Community Impact & Partnerships) in Pensacola, Florida
Overview
Support business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via dashboards and reports for the Community Impact and Partnerships Team. Analyze business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources relevant to corporate philanthropy, volunteering and community engagement. Developing an understanding of business needs and objectives. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
Follow standard procedures to create and/or update moderately complex reports and dashboards that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise Community Impact & Partnerships programs
Identify and analyze trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations in order to support business decisions
Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems to ensure transparency, ethical practices and best in class Community Impact & Partnerships programming
Communicate findings and insight to peers and mid-level management
Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements including but not limited to performance metrics, measurements, methods, surveys and targets
Analyze and evaluate competitor data, industry trends and those relevant to corporate philanthropy, volunteering and community engagement to understand current business unit competitive posture
Build new and/or modify existing database/data warehouse/data mart, data-collection and Community Impact & Partnerships solutions to meet business and system requirements
Develop and maintain impact reports to measure and communicate the effectiveness of Community Impact & Partnerships business initiatives
Use data warehousing/business analytic toolsets to gather, store, and provide access to data to assist management decision making
Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives while promoting and integrating Community Impact & Partnerships goals into business strategies
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
Basic understanding of business and operating environment
Effective skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
Knowledge of reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM and/or database software vendors
Knowledge of data integration, cleaning and validation techniques
Effective skill using statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis
Working knowledge of various data structures and the ability to manipulate data within visualization tools
Research skills
Interpersonal skills
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or related field
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence
Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops and it’s reporting features
Knowledge and understanding of the application of logic models and theory of change within the context of corporate social responsibility and broader social impact
Understanding of trends across philanthropy, volunteering and adjacent fields
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
