DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will undertake a range of responsibilities associated with procurement and contracting services, as well as the management of purchasing cards, all in accordance with established policies, regulations, procedures, and legal standards. Your duties will involve detailed purchasing processes, which consist of reviewing requisitions, creating bid documents, evaluating and awarding bids, and preparing contracts and purchase orders. It is essential that all activities align with the purchasing laws of the Commonwealth and the applicable policies of both the Commonwealth and the Department. The role requires effective communication with requisitioners, vendors, receivers, and various fiscal and purchasing staff within the Commonwealth. Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing purchasing documentation for different bureaus, ensuring that all required attachments are included, overseeing routing processes, and maintaining a tracking log. After obtaining final approval for the documentation, you will distribute copies to the appropriate parties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services ; or
Three years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training. Post-high school education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for purchasing or stores experience to a maximum of two years.
