DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the upkeep and functioning of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. You will perform work in the electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry trades. In this role, you will be expected to complete duties such as rough and finish carpentry, preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces, and installing and repairing various fixtures, including sinks and faucets. Additionally, you will be responsible for tasks such as installing and replacing electrical panels, lighting fixtures, and circuits; repairing air-conditioning and heating equipment; removing snow; and repairing concrete and masonry. To successfully complete these duties, you will need to have experience operating and maintaining both manual and power tools of the trade on a regular basis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Additional Requirement:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Experience in industrial carpentry
Experience working in the electrical trade field
Experience in the plumbing trade
Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
