DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to oversee the design and review process for a wide range of civil and mining engineering projects. This includes everything from complete mine reclamation projects to other complex initiatives. While you will have a great deal of autonomy in developing the technical aspects of each project, you will also need to work closely with other public agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure that all work adheres to Commonwealth standards and meets project goals and deadlines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes-Barre.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists;or

  • Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (commonwealth title);or

  • Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline;or

  • One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

    Necessary Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
