BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced health care manager to fill the position of Director in our Pennsauken, NJ office.

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Revenue Cycle Leader to lead our reimbursement operations for our pediatric and adult private duty nursing (PDN) homecare services. This position will be responsible for the billing and accounts receivable management for a multi-state/multi-site operations ensuring effective reimbursement outcomes, optimized billing procedures and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry, federal, state and payor regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong acumen in healthcare revenue cycle management and specialized experience with Medicaid and Managed Medicaid pediatric billing and accounts receivables. This is a critical leadership role requiring exceptional skills with strategic planning, communication, analytics, technical innovation and team development. This role requires both performance and purpose-driven mindset. This position is expected to operate within a hybrid schedule, both on-site and remote, within our Pennsauken NJ Campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.

  • Directs and supervises the activities of thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) employees and is directly responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these employees. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Responsible for the development of a well-qualified subordinate staff to support the department’s function.

  • Foster teamwork, instill accountability and trust.

  • Remain knowledgeable regarding payer contracts, industry and government regulations, and national billing requirements.

  • Analyze and resolve problems affecting claim submission and payment.

  • Maintain relationships with major payers to ensure timely and accurate payments.

  • Identify trends and major issues.

  • Represent the organization professionally and appropriately.

  • Advise the Division Director of Reimbursement Services on trends, problems, and issues related to the accounts receivable.

  • Develop and supervise the installation of system enhancements to improve processes within the department.

  • Identify and evaluate peripheral systems to assist in the billing and collection process.

  • Assess and respond to organizational and customers’ needs with innovative programs to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Support service offices by minimizing bad debt expense, advising them regarding revenue cycle issues and assisting in front end processes through training and feedback.

  • Reviews and approves bad debt transactions.

  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Monitors progress against standards.

  • Ensures that Reimbursement Services maintains the highest level of integrity and meets internal and external compliance regulations.

  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.

  • Performs related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year college degree in Accounting or Business Administration; CPA, MBA or CMA preferred.

  • Ten (10) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience supervising employees at various levels.

  • Ability to work independently, motivate and be self-motivated, flexible, versatile, and creative.

  • Possess problem solving ability, leadership skills and be able to foster interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems that affect claim submission and collection, regardless of whether the problem originates in an area under direct or indirect control.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing, collections and accounts receivable management. Must be familiar with health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements and business office operations.

  • Must be computer literate in healthcare accounts receivable systems as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, directors, and clients.

  • Competence in basic PC skills required to perform job functions.

  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals and professional journals.
