Precision Pulley and Idler Culture Development Specialist in PELLA, Iowa

PURPOSE OF POSITION

A Culture Development Specialist plays a critical role in shaping, nurturing, and promoting a positive organizational culture and supporting talent acquisition efforts. This role will partner with HR and the leadership team to ensure the company’s mission, values and goals are reflected both in internal culture initiatives and through the recruitment of top talent. This person will help develop consistent messaging reflecting our culture and use this through internal and community communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, the person will:

  • Culture Development:

  • Design and Implement Cultural Programs: Create and execute initiatives that foster positive, inclusive, engaging workplace culture, ensuring alignment with company values.

  • Employee Engagement: Measure employee engagement levels and gauge improvement based on activities through the organization.

  • Promote Organization Values: Actively reinforce the company’s values through everyday interactions, internal and external communications, and employee programs.

  • Change Management: Support the organization during periods of change, ensuring cultural continuity and promoting resilience within teams.

  • Internal/Community Communications:

  • Manage The Insight Platform and content calendar. Serve as a champion for The Insight and encourage use/participation.

  • Partner with HR team to continuously improve how we communicate internal messages and identify the types of communications best suited for each of our methods.

  • Partner with other departments to ensure cultural consistency across internal communications.

  • Company outreach, promote the company through local media as well as educational institutions.

  • Human Resources:

  • Assist in talent sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.

  • Assist in development and execution of onboarding process.

  • Partner with any area within the department looking for resources related to building and developing culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field and;

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, Organizational Development, Recruitment, or Communications.

TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Certifications in HR or organizational development (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar).

  • Familiarity with Intranet Systems

  • Driver License required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and or move up to 50 pounds, repetitively use right hand for simple/light grasping, repetitively use left hand for simple/light grasping, repetitively use right hand for firm/heavy grasping, repetitively use left hand for firm/heavy grasping, repetitively use right hand for fine dexterity, and repetitively use left hand for fine dexterity. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear customers and the ability to hear instructions from others.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually QUIET.

  • Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required in production areas and where posted.
