SOS International LLC SharePoint and SQL Server Administrator in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a SharePoint and SQL Server Administrator to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii . This customer is based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.

Essential Job Duties

Implements and maintains customer's SharePoint, SQL Server and Windows Server systems, virtual infrastructure, and applications within the customer's Area-of-Responsibility (AOR). Builds, installs, and maintains (supports) SharePoint servers in a virtual infrastructure on a Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) hardware platform. Responsible for securing, modifying, and troubleshooting of SharePoint and SQL Server systems and components. Ensures systems and services are available and recoverable within the Time-To-Restore (TTR) service windows.

  • Serves as the customer's Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point-of-contact (POC) for SharePoint-related projects, incidents, and requests.

  • Monitors SharePoint server performance and utilization, including availability of underlying SharePoint site dependencies (e.g., AD authentication, SQL Server etc.)

  • Responsible for the administration, configuration, inventory, analysis, troubleshooting and customization of new and existing SharePoint sites. Ensures customer's hosted SharePoint sites complies to standards that meet performance, capacity, security, and sustainment goals.

  • Creates and manages SharePoint content, document libraries, templates, and permissions. Designs and develop workflows using SharePoint Designer and related tools.

  • Troubleshoots/determines corrections for client-facing issues (e.g., web-browsers, SSL, plug-ins etc.)

  • Assists with SQL Server installs and SQL Server administration duties. Assists with database backups, data ingestion/manipulation and database-related requests. Prior experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.

  • Manages permissions. Secures (protects) SharePoint and SQL Server components according to Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.

  • Troubleshoots, researches, and resolves issues with customer's Windows Server systems and related components, especially those that impact SharePoint and SQL Server performance and availability.

  • Develops (updates) customer's systems documentation (e.g., administration and troubleshooting guides and procedures) in addition to, as it pertains to, DoD accreditation requirements.

  • Provides guidance/training to customer's administrators, staff, and end-users on the assigned systems.

  • Provides status updates and briefings to customer's management and Government customer(s), as required. Completes activity reports in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Participates in related solution technologies and special projects, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • An Active in-scope SECRET clearance.

  • DoD 8570 IAT-I compliant (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP)

  • 4+ years in SharePoint administration/design at a mid-to-senior level. Experienced with SharePoint administrative roles, SharePoint tools, Unified Logging System (ULS) logging, Internet Information Server (IIS).

  • 4+ years of SQL Server database administration at a mid-to-senior level. Experienced in production database implementation (e.g., high-availability, database clustering, log shipping, distributed systems quorum, data modeling, data extraction and manipulation, table and record-level security, data integrity, backup and restore scenarios).

  • 8+ years of experience in Windows Server systems administration, security operations or enterprise IT service center operations.

  • Fluency with automation/data-collection tools and languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell, HTML, Java).

  • Extensive knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and associated data-protection security management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT systems administration, troubleshooting and support with emphasis on Microsoft Windows Server technologies (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, WSUS).

  • Prior experience with HTTP/HTTPS (e.g., use of SSL encryption and certificates/certificate generation)

  • Prior experience with VDI/Virtual Environments and solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).

  • Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.

  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Coordinates and communicates with internal and external teams, including customer's users and partners.

  • Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)

  • Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware)

  • Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow)

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills. Able to provide weekly updates and/or PowerPoint briefings to customer's leadership as required.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
