Job Title: Compounding Process Technician

Job Description

Aerotek's client is seeking a Compounding Process Operator. In this role you will be responsible for operating equipment according to specified processing parameters, collecting and analyzing data to resolve production and technical issues, and ensuring all process changes are controlled and documented in accordance with business procedures. You will also communicate and record changes to procedures/run conditions, support production and engineering priorities, coach and train operator staff, and participate in various safety and continuous improvement events.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to specified processing parameters

  • Collect and analyze data to provide solutions to production and technical problems

  • Ensure all process changes are controlled and documented according to business procedures

  • Communicate and record changes to procedures/run conditions

  • Support production and engineering priorities

  • Coach and train operator staff when needed

  • Participate in safety improvement events, risk assessments, SOPs, and other continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting

  • Extrusion machine operation

  • Compounding

  • Extrusion process

  • Laboratory experience

  • Manufacturing process experience

  • 1-2 years of compounding experience or 3-4 years of good extrusion experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Production management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize issues, analyze situations, and implement effective corrective actions

  • Excellent communication and oral skills

  • Strong presentation and written skills

  • Team player

  • Basic math skills

  • Some technology experience

  • Beginner's Excel experience

Work Environment

This position includes a six-month evaluation period with a pay raise after successful completion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pawcatuck, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
