This is a temporary position.

KBR is seeking a MQ-9 Sensor Operator to join our Team. Joining KBR, you will be a part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and Commercial Agencies, joining a highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support at Naval Test Wing Atlantic. As a long-term incumbent and leader in flight test, the selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • This position supports UX-24 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), NAS Patuxent River, MD

  • Performs the duties of a MQ-9 sensor operator and project officer

  • Supports a wide range of NAWCAD test and evaluation requirements to include test planning meetings, test plan development, event planning, test procedure and card development, flight briefings, test execution, post event support, test reporting, and deficiency reporting.

  • Domestic travel may be required in support of flight test activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree desired.

  • Two (2) years of RDT&E experience is desired.

  • Minimum seven to ten (7-10) years of aviation experience

  • 100 flight hours in RPA preferred.

  • Past (required) or current (desired) MQ-9 sensor operator qualification.

  • Secret Clearance required; Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Security clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Candidate must be able to organize and demonstrate effective oral and written communications and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

  • Candidate must be able to operate effectively at remote work sites without direct supervision.

  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar computer-based productivity applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Current aircraft qualification and recent experience with mission systems T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices preferred.
