Noblis Network Administrator in Pascagoula, Mississippi
Responsibilities
Professionals in network administration are responsible for managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for users and devices. They utilize their expertise in network technologies, protocols, and security practices to design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure and services. Typical responsibilities include configuring and maintaining network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, monitoring network performance and traffic patterns, and troubleshooting network issues to identify and resolve connectivity and performance problems. Network administration roles also involve implementing network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Additionally, professionals may plan and execute network upgrades and migrations, perform network capacity planning, and provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff. Their expertise in areas such as network design, routing and switching, network protocols, and network management tools enables organizations to maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure that supports business operations and enables seamless communication and collaboration.
You solve routine real-world problems by using basic skills. As an employee, you: Work on routine assignments of limited scope and complexity and recognize and resolve basic, routine, or common problems. Perform clearly defined tasks to fulfill project objectives; apply basic level of professional methods/skills in single or multiple areas. Review and analyze situations with readily obtainable answers. Receive direct supervision on a weekly basis. Learn and implement policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulation; execute policies, programs, and services. Build positive working relationships within the department.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Or an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of technical experience, or a HS diploma with 6+ years of technical experience.)
US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance
Active Security+ Certification & Windows Server 2019 Certification or higher or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Physical requirements - ability to lift 50Ibs
10% travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
SCA (Site Collection Admin) certificate and a TA (Trusted Agent) certificate

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
