Job Title: QHSE Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated QHSE Specialist to enhance our operations' quality and safety efforts. This role focuses on managing non-conformances, continuous improvement, and conducting internal audits while maintaining quality and safety systems and processes. The ideal candidate will promote good safety practices and emphasize the importance of quality work with safety in mind, leading internal Quality and Safety audits.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and track a quality program, performing visual and dimensional quality checks.

  • Manage non-conformances in the assembly of modular solar units.

  • Complete in-process and final inspections at all five assembly stations.

  • Create quality reports to track inspections and analyze quality issues for improvement.

  • Implement a safety program and provide operational safety support through training.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.

  • Provide training on health and safety protocols.

  • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.

  • Track and report incidents.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in quality control and quality inspection.

  • Proficiency in HSE management and safety management.

  • Experience with quality management systems.

  • Ability to conduct safety training and maintain safety records.

  • Skill in managing safety programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QHSE roles.

  • Experience in creating detailed quality reports.

  • Proven ability to promote and track safety requirements.

  • Strong communication skills for training and promoting safety.

  • Aptitude for creating reports for quality tracking.

Work Environment

This position operates in an open-air environment, requiring steel-toed boots and long-sleeve shirts. The role is contracted for 8 months until July, with a strong possibility of extension due to anticipated workload. Work is conducted during the second shift from 4:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with potential overtime extending to 2:30 AM as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pasadena, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
