Description
We are in search of a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Pasadena, California. This role focuses on the accurate and timely management of financial tasks, such as account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, month-end close, taxes, and light payroll. This is a contract position offering the potential for long-term employment in the financial industry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for a bookkeeping firm
• Handle account reconciliation and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Oversee month-end close processes to maintain timely reporting
• Manage light payroll duties to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for financial tasks and reporting
• Ensure all financial tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
Requirements
• Must have minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
