Job Title: Logistics/Traffic Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Traffic Coordinator to manage day-to-day service operations, solve problems, and maintain relationships with account managers. This role involves directing pickup schedules, ensuring accurate paperwork, managing data entry, and addressing load-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Direct pickup schedules, ensuring the right load goes to the right customer.

  • Ensure loads are not missed and all paperwork (bills of lading, scale tickets, etc.) is in order.

  • Enter data accurately into the WPC Database.

  • Manage missed loads, downgraded or rejected loads, and other load problems.

  • Choose and maintain effective carriers.

  • Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives to increase efficiency.

  • Identify and remove non-value-added activities.

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of new ideas.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience within export and traffic.

  • Experience with logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience using a web-based tracking system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and analyze complex information and abstract variables.

  • Effective communication skills in person, in writing, verbally, and to groups.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WPC Database, and other necessary software.

  • Excellent math skills, including general business math.

  • Ability to work in and travel to typical office and plant environments.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment, with office days in Parsippany on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and remote work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You will be part of a team of 8 people, with opportunities for growth and potential to move into team lead roles as the team continues to expand.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
