Job Title: AR Reconciliations/Collections Specialist
Job Description
The major focus of this role is collections and the reconciliation process. The candidate needs to understand the adjustment process and facilitate account reconciliations through research to resolve customer disputes and discrepancies. This role involves participating in the daily operations of the accounts receivable and collections team, creating plans to reduce outstanding balances for high volume, low dollar amount invoices, and ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
Responsibilities
Facilitate account reconciliations through research to resolve customer disputes and discrepancies.
Participate in the daily operations of the accounts receivable and collections team.
Create a plan to reduce the amount of outstanding balances for high volume, low dollar amount invoices.
Monitor and manage the aging of accounts receivable and ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
Collaborate with other teams to resolve billing disputes and improve the collections process.
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and collection forecasts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications.
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits.
Essential Skills
5+ years of accounts receivable/collections experience
3+ years of people management experience (team of 3+)
Experience with high volume, low dollar amount invoicing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with account reconciliations
Experience with services billing
Work Environment
The company has recently moved to a new ERP system called Cietrade. They have a new Controller and are implementing new processes to minimize their outstanding accounts receivable. The team works in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This is a highly visible role that will interface with the CFO and report to the Accounting Manager. The role involves close collaboration with the Controller.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
