Hyatt Event Planning Manager (Starts August) in PARK CITY, Utah
Description:
Opening in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.
The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 387 rooms, inclusive of approximately 26 suites with approximately 25,900 square feet of net indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and whirlpool, kids club, and fitness area. The Event Planning Manager 's primary focus is servicing Sale bookings. This position acts as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include: administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.

Qualifications:
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment. Refined verbal and written communication skills
A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
Preferred candidate has completed PSS or equivalent training
