Job Description

A Cleint of Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Software QA Manager with a strong background in version control, bug management, and software build systems. This mid- to lower-level candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the essential tools that enable our team to deliver high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

• Manage version control systems, including Subversion and GitLab, ensuring proper branch management, merge requests, and overall system integrity.

• Oversee bug tracking processes using Bugzilla to monitor, prioritize, and resolve software defects effectively.

• Act as a Build System Manager to ensure smooth software builds and deployments, facilitating a seamless development workflow.

• Maintain and enhance the infrastructure of software tools and systems, ensuring that all team members have the resources they need to perform their jobs effectively.

• Collaborate with development teams to identify and troubleshoot bug management issues, ensuring timely communications and updates.

• Prioritize and fix bugs reported by team members, enabling them to complete their tasks without disruption.

• Utilize experience as a Scrum Master to foster agile methodologies and improve overall team collaboration and efficiency.

• Provide training and support to team members on using bug management tools and version control systems.

Skills and Requirements

5 + years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience with version control and bug management.

• Familiarity with Bugzilla for bug tracking and management.

• Proficiency in Subversion and GitLab for version control.

• Experience with build systems and deployment processes.

• A solid understanding of software infrastructure and tool management.

• Experience as a Scrum Master is a plus, demonstrating an ability to lead agile projects.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Familiarity with tool integrations such as Hookbit to enhance development workflows.

• Understanding of overall bug management issues and the ability to address them proactively. null
