An Avionics Technician job is available with our client in Tyndall AFB, FL. In this role you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on company's products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associate's degree in a related field and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
Responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying products
Responsible for updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers and provides them with onsite training.
Responsible for the safety and security of people or property
Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles
Performs aviation related duties
Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in a related field with 4 or more years of relevant experience
A&P License Required
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Must have the ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques
Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Ability to repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors
Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes
Must be willing to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials and frequently exposed to loud noises
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
