GULF COAST ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE Apprentice Line Technician in PANAMA CITY, Florida

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must have the ability to obtain government security clearance Commercial Driver's License, Class A- or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Physically able to perform all assigned tasks
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REQUIRED TRAINING GCEC Apprentice Line Technician Training Florida CDL within six months of employment Bucket Truck Rescue Training Pole Top Rescue CPR Certification First Aid Certification
Responsibilities: Apprentice Line Technicians will shadow Line Technicians and learn to safely perform all associated tasks with the construction, maintenance and restoration of all overhead and underground facilities Train to troubleshoot and repair all distribution circuits and equipment and prepare all associated paperwork Learn how to ensure all jobs assigned are worked in accordance with company design standards and work methods May be required to work extended hours in inclement weather, may be required to travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms, to restore the system Apprentice Line Technicians are expected to have the flexibility to work any shift at any work location
