We are offering an opportunity to join our team as a Cyber Security Engineer in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will be responsible for advising on security architecture, assessing potential security threats, and providing guidance on security solutions. This role will be part time with initial ramp of 8 hrs. for first two weeks followed by 3 hours a week for ongoing questions and interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Testing and analyzing systems for potential security threats

• Identifying possible security threats and determining the most effective security measures

• Advising on security protocols, policies, plans, and systems to cover all potential threats

• Providing updates on the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technologies

• Using skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, and Cybersecurity compliance to perform tasks

• Advising the engineering team on security best practices and protocols

• Collaborating with teams across different time zones to ensure security measures are consistent and effective

• Providing guidance on security architecture based on the business's requirements

• Assessing and vetting security architecture proposed by the engineering team

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Cyber Security.

• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is mandatory.

• Experience with Checkpoint is required.

• Knowledge and experience in operating Cisco ASA and Cisco Routers are necessary.

• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies is expected.

• Should have hands-on experience with Computer Hardware.

• Proficiency in Configuration Management is necessary.

• Must have a strong foundation in Design.

• Knowledge of Eigrp is required.

• Should have experience in Firewall Technologies.

• Must have a clear understanding of Cybersecurity compliance. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
