Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager, West Palm Beach Distribution Center (DC) to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The Senior Operations Manager position is responsible for providing leadership to the Distribution organization by setting the overall focus and direction of the team and by defining strategies to meet organizational goals. This role is also responsible for the development of a superior workforce that focuses on continuous improvement. Position must ensure that a safe work environment exists. Leader must be able to balance multiple tasks while maintaining business results and following the Standards of Leadership. Influences general policies, organizational goals, and company policies to improve supply chain process, partners with Facilities, EHS, Quality and Make organization to ensure safe and secure buildings and compliant operations. Establishes and maintains strong relations with E2E supply chain partners globally as well as the manufacturing, marketing and sales groups. Partner closely with Finance to set and achieve all business plan commitments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Distribution Team Leaders and associates in the creation of the organization's structure, values, goals, objectives, roles and responsibilities.

  • Champion the constant improvement of the effectiveness of the Distribution Organization, including training, performance management and organizational structure.

  • Develop and maintain a service-oriented culture and a learning environment that values constant improvement, open communication, and proactive behavior.

  • Focus the organization on streamlining processes to improve services and/or reduce costs within Distribution and within WPB.

  • Understand the business requirements of the supported operating companies and ensure that processes are in place to meet their changing needs.

  • Prepare financial analysis to support new services to Senior Management.

  • Lead safety initiatives to ensure all Federal, State and J&J Safety regulations and/or guidelines are followed.

  • Ensure the development of Team Leaders through clearly communicated performance objectives, business process training, career development planning, team development training and consistent feedback.

  • Identify and participate in benchmarking activities, industry conferences and customer survey activities and integrate knowledge into Distribution organizational design, technology, and process improvements.

  • Ensure problems are resolved in a partnership with the E2E supply chain.

  • Ensure that Distribution is prepared to successfully pass any internal or external audits (Safety, GMP, or Financial).

  • Maintain and nurture vigilance of business rules, Credo values and mission statements.

  • Ensure subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree (BA/BS) is required, preferably In Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management or related field.

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in Distribution and/or Operations roles.

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing and leading a team with direct reports.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels including ability to present and influence Senior Management.

  • Interdependent partnering – strong interpersonal skills, collaboration competencies: within and across organizations.

  • Leadership skills and ability to build effective teams and strong leaders.

  • Strategic thinking – seeking areas for improvement to create growth, improve financial performance and gain competitive advantage.

  • Big picture orientation and ability to represent broader end to end supply chain.

  • Knowledge of Distribution operations, systems, equipment, GMP’s, Governmental Regulations and Facilities.

Preferred:

  • Performance Excellence Certification / Six Sigma - Green Belt / Lean

  • Experience with JJRC Quality policies and procedures

Other:

  • May require up to 10% domestic and international travel
