Job Description:

The SAS Discretionary Finance team is responsible for compiling and reporting progress against the SAS segment DS and B&P budgets, forecasts, and authorization limits. This position focuses on managing discretionary expense by generating quarterly and monthly forecasts. Weekly reporting is provided for the benefit of all DS and B&P stakeholders while monthly variance analysis will be used for Monthly Financial Review (MFR). The position interfaces with all levels of the organization and there is a great opportunity to create processes that drive efficiencies by utilizing Hyperion and Tableau.

Be able to interface regularly with the VP of Strategy and BD and communicate a path forward to the rest of the business along with providing leadership and guidance to other Finance professionals is desired. This person will be responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and analysis of all SAS DS and B&P expenditures and provide strategic analysis for management.

  • Responsible for knowing Harris policies and procedures.

  • Assist in tracking and approving authorizations against budgets, investigating any variances between actuals and plan.

  • Be a go to resource for the BDMs and anyone involved with pursuits or capture.

  • Ensure monthly and quarterly spend and targets are aligned to MFR reporting.

  • Helping to ensure segment deliverables are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 6 plus years of directly, applicable experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's with 4 plus years’ experience; or equivalent.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (Oral, Written, Listening).

  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment

  • 5-7 years with Hyperion, CRM, SharePoint, Tableau and Peoplesoft & Queries.

  • 8 plus years with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or MPM. Excel knowledge including but not limited to pivot tables, lookups, relational formulas and query usage.
