Job Description:

This is a hands-on position and requires technicians to perform chemical and mechanical processes in the fabrication of printed circuit boards.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for executing process such has applying etch resist, running single and multiple panel lots through wet chemical conveyor systems, chemical dip etching, chemical plating, mechanical drilling, and vacuum pressing.

  • Utilize assisted magnification such as halo and/or microscope for inspection of fine line products.

  • Handling and inspection of lots from one test/inspection station to next station.

  • Execute and receive daily inspection tasking from technical lab leads. Read and follow documented work instructions consistently. Able to build deliverable products to work instructions, workmanship standard and assembly drawings.

  • Navigate electronic computer program for work instructions, data collections, and sign offs.

  • Must understand and interpret a variety of technical specifications, terms, and written work instructions and/or paperless work instructions.

  • Responsible for performing a variety of chemical and mechanical processing operations.

  • Able to operate and adjust various types of high precision manufacturing equipment.

  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing printed circuit board fabrication using known procedures and processes.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Good attention to detail, highly interactive, willing to work in team environment and willing to learn new skills and rotate between manufacturing operations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems used in the fabrication process.

  • Self-motivated with time management skills to complete a task without supervision.

  • Must be a team player able to work in a program environment.

  • Experience with wearing PPE.

  • Experience with chemical handling.

  • Microsoft Word & Excel skills for following engineering procedures and recording process data.

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and leading process improvement initiatives. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle and manufacture microelectronics hardware underneath magnification.
