Job Description:
This is a hands-on position and requires technicians to perform chemical and mechanical processes in the fabrication of printed circuit boards.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for executing process such has applying etch resist, running single and multiple panel lots through wet chemical conveyor systems, chemical dip etching, chemical plating, mechanical drilling, and vacuum pressing.
Utilize assisted magnification such as halo and/or microscope for inspection of fine line products.
Handling and inspection of lots from one test/inspection station to next station.
Execute and receive daily inspection tasking from technical lab leads. Read and follow documented work instructions consistently. Able to build deliverable products to work instructions, workmanship standard and assembly drawings.
Navigate electronic computer program for work instructions, data collections, and sign offs.
Must understand and interpret a variety of technical specifications, terms, and written work instructions and/or paperless work instructions.
Responsible for performing a variety of chemical and mechanical processing operations.
Able to operate and adjust various types of high precision manufacturing equipment.
Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing printed circuit board fabrication using known procedures and processes.
Qualifications:
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Good attention to detail, highly interactive, willing to work in team environment and willing to learn new skills and rotate between manufacturing operations.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems used in the fabrication process.
Self-motivated with time management skills to complete a task without supervision.
Must be a team player able to work in a program environment.
Experience with wearing PPE.
Experience with chemical handling.
Microsoft Word & Excel skills for following engineering procedures and recording process data.
Experience in lean manufacturing and leading process improvement initiatives. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle and manufacture microelectronics hardware underneath magnification.
