Summary:
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting on behalf of a client in the flavor production industry for a Document Control Specialist. The Document Control Specialist ensures food production facility success and safety by writing high-quality, compliant documentation. Reporting to the Regulatory Supervisor, responsibilities include research, writing, and editing content, as well as maintaining essential registers.

Pay: $24 - $26/hr
Shift: 1st shift 8am- 5pm M-F
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing high-quality, user-friendly documentation suitable for food production facilities.
Reports to Regulatory Supervisor and collaborates closely with food safety and quality assurance teams.
Researches, outlines, writes, and edits content in compliance with regulatory agency requirements (HACCP, food safety, quality).
Gathers information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedures and process documents.
Evaluates existing documentation for completeness and compliance, proposing innovative improvements.
Communicates with department leadership to identify documentation requirements and ensure proper storage.
Creates information templates adhering to organizational, regulatory, and legal standards.
Assists with third-party audits, regulatory agency inspections, and internal audit preparation.
Maintains and organizes registers required by various departments, including food safety and quality systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in a relevant field is preferred however a high school diploma with relevant experience will be considered
1-4 years of experience in technical writing in any industry
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in creating spreadsheets.
Capable of training employees at all organizational levels and auditing training.
