LEWIS ELECTRIC & PLUMBING CO (A CORP) Office Assistant in Oxford, North Carolina
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling jobs and dispatching electricians.
- Coordinate communication between office staff, field crews, and clients.
- Maintain job files, project records, and permit documentation.
- Handle invoicing, job costing, accounts receivable/payable, and basic bookkeeping.
- Order materials and supplies, track inventory, and coordinate deliveries.
- Assist with HR functions: onboarding new hires, maintaining employee records, and time tracking.
- Ensure all licenses, certifications, and insurance policies stay up to date.
- Support management with reporting, proposals, and project paperwork.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in office assisting, preferably in construction, electrical, or trades industries.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service mindset.
- Understanding of basic accounting and job costing principles.
