LEWIS ELECTRIC & PLUMBING CO (A CORP) Office Assistant in Oxford, North Carolina

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations, including scheduling jobs and dispatching electricians.
  • Coordinate communication between office staff, field crews, and clients.
  • Maintain job files, project records, and permit documentation.
  • Handle invoicing, job costing, accounts receivable/payable, and basic bookkeeping.
  • Order materials and supplies, track inventory, and coordinate deliveries.
  • Assist with HR functions: onboarding new hires, maintaining employee records, and time tracking.
  • Ensure all licenses, certifications, and insurance policies stay up to date.
  • Support management with reporting, proposals, and project paperwork.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in office assisting, preferably in construction, electrical, or trades industries.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Understanding of basic accounting and job costing principles.
