Title:

Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in in the delivery of expert project, programme, and portfolio support to a key client.

We are a trusted delivery partner to clients in the Nuclear energy sector.

Enthusiastic teams work together across disciplines including organisational transformation and integration, systems engineering, and program management to deliver full life cycle solutions from concept through to operations and decommissioning.

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside and assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing projects. They are responsible for coordinating various project activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the project stays on track.

They will support the Project Team with internal process compliance, including the progress and status reporting of all functional and business requirements specific to the programme. The role will require close liaison and interaction with our clients.

Responsibilities for the role include:

Familiarisation and understanding of the Programme and contractual and scope-of-works responsibilities.

Integration with resources, teams, and stakeholders, understanding their responsibilities, requirements, and scope delivery ownerships.

Processing and expediting relevant documents within SharePoint.

Assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly dashboard reports and metrics.

Documenting actions, recording, and producing Minutes of Meetings.

Assisting with informing the project team on performance, issues, and risks.

Production of Resource Induction Packs and information, including managing and tracking of inductions held and inductions required, and continuous improvements to induction documents and processes.

Ownership and tracking of security requirements.

Ad-hoc tasks generated or requested by the Programme Lead and/or PMO Lead to meet imposing deadlines as they arise or are advised.

What we Need

Working towards industry Professional Institute Membership.

Experience in project coordination or related role.

Confident and proactive.

A keen problem-solver, able to take initiative and drive the project forward.

Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

0365 and SharePoint.

Location

This position is hybrid, with occasional visits to Client offices for workshops and meetings.
