In this role, you’ll support the development and well-being of children in a dynamic, inclusive educational setting. Join a team of experienced teachers to both support children with disabilities in integrated preschool classrooms and infant/toddler daycare classrooms as a substitute teacher aide. Our focus is to foster a strength based environment where every child can thrive by learning and growing through play.
Rate of pay: $16.65 per hour(This position is as needed)

Responsibilities
Provide a warm, safe, and caring environment for children that will promote learning and a positive self-image, reflecting Racker’s values as defined in the Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct
Carry out plans and programs for children as assigned by the teacher, including possible one-to-one assignment with a specific child
Personal care including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting and positioning
Share information with classroom and management team
Effective communication as a member of the team, including participation in appropriate meetings
Promote open communication and mutual understanding
Attend training required by program regulations and as directed by supervisor
Contribute to a positive work and learning environment for children in program as well as co-workers – must be professional, courteous and confidential
Provide ideas and show initiative to help develop the educational setting
Uphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dress
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education, Experience, & Skills:
High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old by date of hire.
Effective written, verbal and communication skills.
Related experience preferred.
Physical Capability
Ability to physically assist children to participate in the program; ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds; ability to engage in repetitive movements such as sitting/kneeling on floor, bending and stooping; ability to move quickly to attend to a running child.
