About our Mission

This requisition is for a mid-career Systems Engineering role within the RMS Missions Systems Engineering (MSE) Electronic Warfare (EW) organization supporting government airborne platforms. In general, the tasks involved in this position are highly technical and focused on electronic warfare; RF emitters and antennas, their use and limitations; and the computing systems that are used in this domain.

General tasks may include:

- Project lead for a small team of Systems Engineers

- Establishing system requirements

- Simulation programming in a development lab environment

- Mission Data Load (emitter) programming

- Development/Operational test data analysis

- Develop and/or Review and help execute test procedures

- Investigate problem trouble reports

- Algorithm/model development

- Test automation

- Support to customer test events

Lockheed Martin Owego provides Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering expertise for a wide variety of airborne platforms used by the Department of Defense and International military customers. The Owego campus has over 45 years supporting EW development with over 3000 systems developed and fielded Worldwide.

Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Rolling hillsides, historic homes, quaint country shops, riverside restaurants, unique farm tours, fabulous festivals and a beautiful river make this region a great place to live.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience and/or familiarity with any of the following systems: Electronic Warfare, RF, radar or military communications

- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, C or C++

- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

- Strong math background

- Knowledge of both Electronic Support and Electronic Attack.

- Software, Firmware or Hardware development experience.

- Able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
