JOB SUMMARY

Troubleshoot and repair any vehicle system using schematics, repair manuals as available, and test equipment as needed.

JOB DUTIES

  • Check and adjust vehicle and systems for completion and function.

  • Repair assembly defects and install shortages before and after truck inspection.

  • Rotate as needed in any assembly or sub-assembly function.

  • Train new employees or those moving to a new work area as directed.

  • Resolve repetitive defects by investigation and retraining assemblers in the involved areas.

  • Specialize on all types and phases of assembly and/or disassembly and teardown of Reman vehicles and applicable components.

  • Work includes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Requires climbing under and over vehicles.

  • Parts handled weigh up to 10,000 lbs. with suitable cranes, dollies, etc., provided for heavy components.

  • Requires intra-plant driving of vehicles.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, HSED or GED

  • 1+ years previous assembly, manufacturing or automotive/machinery repair experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Related technical training and certifications
