The J.M. Smucker Company Regional Sales Manager-Wholesale and South Region (Sweet Baked Snacks & Pet) in Orrville, Ohio

Your Opportunity as Regional Sales Manager-Wholesale and South Region (Sweet Baked Snacks & Pet) In this role you will be the Sales Account Manager for strategic Wholesale and Southern Grocery Accounts. You will be responsible for working with our broker partner to manage Joint Business Plans and all aspects associated with those plans. Key measurable will be delivering top line sales, balancing a trade spending budget, achieving market share goals, and hitting net profit targets. Location: Candidates must reside within the following area for consideration: Southern US Region (within 1 hour of major airport) Work Arrangements: Working from home office up to 50% expected travel In this role you will be a sales manager for a strategic business unit with goal to drive profitable sales growth and brand share for both Smucker & our customers. Business Management Build & maintain collaborative relationships with all internal cross-functional constituents Manage business development plan and build productive relationship with sales broker team Monitor sales execution with broker partner and adjust as needed to achieve objectives Develop and implement plans to drive brand/category growth and achieve or exceed sales/profit goals Drive brand share growth in market and with customer Lead and influence negotiations for new items, key initiatives, etc. Support and partner with Supply Chain team to drive solutions at Customer Business Planning & Analysis Own and execute annual business plan & Joint Business Plan Perform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities Work with syndicated, and other data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical plans Manage and own internal sales system (promotions, deductions, forecast, etc.) Effectively manage trade budget and distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing objectives Ad-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysis Drive business process improvements by working closely with cross-functional business partners and team The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree A minimum of 5 years of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sales/account management Previous broker management experience Previous National Account headquarters or Regional Account headquarters or top key account management Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Strong technical skills in office applications (i.e Excel, PowerPoint) Proven leader in negotiation success Ability to relocate in the future for other job opportunities within the company may be required Ability to travel up to 50% of work schedule Reside within 1 hour of one of major airport within South Region of United States Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: Joint Business Planning experience Previous experience calling on Wholesale accounts Proficient in use of syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) Learn more about working at Smucker: Follow us on #LI-MR1 The J.
