Job Summary The position will be responsible for managing the environmental, health, and safety program at the Orrville, Ohio production plant. The candidate will ensure the management of EHS systems and permit compliance. This position will be based in Orrville, Ohio. Develop, implement and manage procedures and influence decision-making, to ensure that the Orrville operations are in compliance with EHS policies, plans and permits, as well as state/federal regulatory compliance. Responsibilities : Manage all environmental permits (storm water, air), implement, direct and be responsible for the health & safety programs Keep existing permits current and evaluate site Operations to determine compliance Manage all EHS Records, prepare and submit EHS reports Participate and direct the Plant Emergency Response Team as well as the Plant Safety Committee Manage site EHS Programs (LOTO, Machine Guarding, PIT, Storm Water, RCRA, SPCC, SDS Repository, health and safety training) and compliance reporting (Tier 2, SARA 313) Supervise one EHS Coordinator Skills Ability to learn and execute EHS programs. Demonstrated people management skills and ability influence Operations team. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (blending, packaging).Proven risk-based ability. Ability to assemble, interpret, and explain safety practices and methods to non-technical personnel through both written and verbal communication. Working knowledge of various software programs including Google and Microsoft Office (particularly Sheets/Excel and Slides/PowerPoint). Working knowledge of MSDSOnline.com, Brady LOTO procedures, ProcessMap, SAP Effective oral and written communications. Ability to build strong relationships and influence the behavior of others What you'll need to be successful : Bachelors Degree Desired Certifications : CSP, CHMM, PE 4-7 years of experience preferred Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (blending, packaging,etc) Proven risk-based ability Ability to learn and execute EHS programs. The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $105,700.00 - $124,300.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
