Req# 28508 Aultman Health Foundation, ORRVILLE, OH AULTMAN ORRVILLE HOSPITAL Aultman Health Foundation Full Time, Afternoon Shift, 40/week SUMMARY OF POSITION The primary purpose of this position is to ensure proper food handling, suitable sanitation, and appropriate food storage procedures to ensure highest quality experience for patients while maintaining compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS Demonstrate integrity and strong work ethic. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. Punctual and regular attendance necessary. Be respectful and courteous to fellow colleagues, management, customers, patients, etc. Teamwork with a positive approach and dependability is a must. Practice exceptional hand and body hygiene. Maintain neat and professional appearance. Maintain proper stocking of items needed for each meal. Take care of and clean several different types of equipment that the colleague will be responsible for throughout the day. Keep workstation clean during the day and before leaving for the day. Read and process information quickly. Wash dishes, sweep and mop floor daily. Maintain a high level of and regard for sanitation. Use a food thermometer to take food temperatures and document appropriately. Maintain cleanliness of utensils and equipment. Make decisions promptly and problem solve as necessary on the go. Maintain confidentiality requirements of Aultman Orrville Hospital. Be courteous and professional to patients. Operate a cash register. Follow a recipe. Properly taste food before serving. Work at a fast pace most of the time. Visualize if a cooked product is acceptable to eat, before serving. Bake pies, cakes, and cookies which look appealing to managers & customers. Follow instructions before you try to lead. Record temperatures of food and refrigerated equipment. Speak clearly and precisely to your team members when instructions or orders are given. Work on other jobs and kitchen duties in slow peak times. Complies with organizational policies, procedures, and code of conduct. Demonstrates, creates, and fosters a work environment that is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Aultman Health Foundation and provides care that consistently complies with the Aultman Corporate Service Standards and high reliability culture. Manages time wisely and seeks assignments when duties are completed. Represents the hospital by volunteering for community activities which may include participation at community events, activities or on local boards. Seeks opportunities for involvement and participates in hospital-based committees. Other duties as assigned.
