Rotary and Mission Systems' Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) business is Lockheed Martin’s center of excellence for training and logistics products and services, serving the U.S. military and more than 65 international customers around the world. Based in Orlando, TLS develops programs that teach service men and women skills to accomplish their most challenging missions — flying the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft, navigating ships and driving armored vehicles.
TLS is the corporation’s hub for simulation, X reality, live-virtual-constructive capabilities, advanced training devices and full-service training programs. TLS also provides sustainment services such as supply chain and logistics IT solutions, spares and repairs, as well as automated test and support equipment.
THE WORK
This is a position for a Systems IT Engineer on F35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) as part of the Operational Baseline Integrated Product Team (IPT).
As a key member of our Systems IT team you will:
- Perform System administration of heterogeneous networks including Windows Desktop environments, Windows Server based domains, and Linux based systems
- Utilize your knowledge with Red Hat Linux server deployment configuration
- Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching (Windows/Linux)
- Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures
- Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support
- Implement effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied IT hardware (Servers, Network equipment, storage arrays, PCs)
- Gather system security design requirements with stakeholders and develop architecture solutions
- Implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures
- Install/configure/manage/update various versions of software operating systems
- Ensure lab devises and cyber compliance management is current
- Document procedures and processes to ensure repeatability and data sharing

The Pilot Training Devices (PTD) team creates flight simulators for the F35 fighter jet. The Operational Baseline Integrated Product Team is responsible for the infrastructure, third party software, and security policies across all of our PTD products.

This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin, as well as obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
A level 3 employee is typically mid-career and has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.
Note: This role will require domestic and international travel (up to 30%). Candidates will be asked to obtain a DoD IAT Level II certification within 3 months of their start date, if they do not already have a certification.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a System Administrator, Computer Information Systems Analyst, System Engineer, or Network Engineer
- Linux Server Administration experience is a must (RedHat and SLES)
- Systems Engineering and Systems Administration skills with Microsoft Server
- Must have or be able to maintain a DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec+ CE) within 90 days of start date
Desired Skills:
- 7 or more years of professional experience with Information Technology
- Bachelor degree in technical field
- Current F-35 Program access strongly desired
- Experienced in one or more of the following Cloud environments: AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments
- Experience with Atlassian Agile planning and collaboration tools including JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in creating, testing, deploying and troubleshooting Windows Installer WIM (.MSI) package installations
- Experience with laptop imaging, desktop
troubleshooting, knowledge of Active Directory,
Remote Access
- Experience with virtual networks: VMWare/ESXi, VSphere, Hyper-V experience
- Python, Bash, shell scripting experience to schedule and automate processes
- Experience with Ansible tools
- Systems networking (switches and/or routers) experience
- Ability to support second shift as needed
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
