Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Orlando, Florida, and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic financial environment where you will play a key role in managing corporate tax compliance and accounting functions. Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee corporate tax compliance processes, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Prepare and review income tax filings, including fiduciary and indirect tax documentation.
• Create and manage tax calendars and deadlines.
• Manage various indirect taxes such as personal property tax, sales tax, and vessel tax.
• Conduct audits and analyze balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to streamline reporting and tax processes.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper accrual accounting and tax-related reconciliations.
• Monitor and implement changes in federal, state, and local tax policies to maintain compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and related documentation.
• Analyze financial data using Microsoft Excel to support tax reporting and planning activities.
• Provide support for corporate tax department initiatives and projects.
• Review and maintain accurate records for all tax-related accounts and filings.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate tax accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for income tax, fiduciary tax, and indirect tax.
• Attention to detail and ability to conduct audits and analyze financial data effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments.
