Lockheed Martin Project Engineering Sr Mgr - Orlando in Orlando, Florida

Description: This position reports to the Director - Logistics and Sustainment Engineering and serves as the Configuration & Data Management, Logistics IT, and Tech Pubs /Training Section Manager of approx 180 personnel. The candidate will need experience leading and managing large, diverse teams (>50 employees). The position oversees the establishment, maintenance and interpretation of related operating configuration control and technical data management policies and procedures that affect all organizations. Ensures change analyses include departmental impacts from Engineering, Quality, Operations (Production and Material Acquisition) and other assigned technical data change control activities. Oversees the writing and editing of technical publications such as operator and maintenance manuals. Ensures development and review of documentation to meet IAW EPM- PS505 or appropriate industry/DoD Standards. Oversees the design, development, implementation of Logistic Tools and the maintenance of logistic applications and databases. Provides guidance to subordinates based on company policy and organizational plans in terms of meeting objectives, schedules and financial goals. Makes regular contact with equivalent level managers, industry peers, and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues, and general overall performance of organizational units. Conducts briefings and technical meetings with internal and external representatives.

Basic Qualifications:

Extensive experience in Product Data Management (PDM) systems, Technical Writing, Logistics IT, and/or Training Systems.

• Demonstrated ability to credibly influence cross functional personnel, program leaders and external organizations/customers

• Superior project and people management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail

• Experience developing and leading teams in a matrix environment

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to interface with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

• Business acumen, strong analytical and problem solving skills, reliability and sound judgment

• Track record of exceptional performance in relevant assignments

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills:

Advanced degree in a business or technical discipline.
