Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Inventory Financial Analyst in Orlando, Florida

Position Overview:

  • Provides professional service and expertise in a broad, overarching and unspecified area of financial matters, which may include planning, analysis and reporting accountabilities for organizational unit(s) assigned. in a range of functional areas of all Siemens organization.

  • This role will be responsible for inventory controlling, costing analysis and standard pricing, internal sales margin analysis, productivity measures, etc.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes financial planning and reporting activities for inventory.

  • Analyzes actual inventory results versus budgeted results; identifies variances & investigates reasons for those variances.

  • Performs financial analysis regarding trends, financial structure, asset, cash and liabilities, etc. with a specific focus on inventory.

  • Creates monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations for inventory accounts.

  • Conducts i nventory research and performs system inventory tracking.

  • Develops annual costing structure for spare parts materials and monitors margin throughout the fiscal year.

  • Processes inventory cycle counts financially and approves material write-offs.

  • Analyses and monitors key performance indicators and business performance, and creates regular reports to management.

  • Partners with Supply Chain Management, Order Management and Warehouse Management to communicate inventory health and trends (e.g. material obsolescence, excess inventory, slow-moving inventory, etc.).

  • May perform and complete also projects re developing financial and controlling standards and guidelines.

  • Supports in risk management, treasury, M&A or tax aspects in order to manage the financial resources best.

  • Carries out a range of operational tasks and project work in the area of expertise as assigned by superior.

  • Maintains working relations with external financial experts (e.g. banks, tax counselors, chartered accountants).

  • May also contribute to the (further) development of concepts and standards in the area of expertise based on operational experience.

  • May include functional leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other relevant field

  • Demonstrated ability to influence behavior and outcomes in a matrix organization where decision-making is not always clear

  • Understanding of how business choices can impact financial statements (e.g., the interplay between inventory and COS)

  • 3+ years of SAP experience including knowledge of SAP’s Material Management and Inventory Management (MM-IM) module

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Minimal travel required for this position

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Past work experience with financial inventory management is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of SAP MM, EWM/IWM and FICO is a plus.
