The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Clinical Education provides clinical oversight and operations management for the centralized clinical education functions. The Director will lead centralized systems and processes for clinical and field education and leverage technology to streamline onboarding and requirements tracking. Initiates strategic projects to improve efficiency and the experience for students, faculty, and clinical partners. Develop and implement policies and procedures across nursing related to student compliance and clinical education. Representation of the program at the departmental and institutional level, providing mentorship and leadership to faculty. The Director will provide leadership and management under the direction of the Dean. Will work with department of nursing leadership, faculty, and university support services to advance and sustain the quality of education. The Director of Accreditation and Quality will maintain a professional, caring, and warm environment within the Nursing Department. The director will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

·Oversee and obtain all clinical placements for nursing programming.

·Oversee and maintain all clinical records for onboarding and compliance.

·Collaborate with system initiatives pertaining to clinical placements and compliance.

·Maintain schedules and provide project management support to the Dean of Nursing, or designee.

·Produce and maintain department documents and reports for Dean of Nursing, or designee.

· Assist in the development of handbooks, policy/procedures, and regulatory policy for all programs.

·Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with members of the nursing team to facilitate quality clinical placements and outcomes.

·Inform program curriculum design to support achieving student learning outcomes and overall program outcomes.

·Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and peer institutions to strengthen the nursing programs and increase clinical placements.

·Oversees all assigned activities in compliance with national, local, and institutional guidelines.

· Participates in student scholarly activities.

·Engages in program and clinical planning and assessment at the department and institutional level.

·Engages in fiscal management and allocation of resources, including long-term planning.

·Assists the Dean with the strategic plan, updating the goals, objectives, and assessments.

·Actively engages in the department committees and institution as assigned by the Dean of Nursing

·Engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research.

·Maintains a strong presence in professional organizations at the state and national level, representing the faculty, program, and institution.

·Functions as a liaison and program representative when interacting with the Advisory Board and other community and clinical stakeholders.

·Collect and maintain data for program reports, program reviews, and documentation for accreditation and certification agencies.

·Maintains current knowledge in nursing education by attending state and national meetings, participation in scholarly activities, publication, and research. Collaborating with Dean of Nursing, and faculty to actively pursue grants and external funding sources.

·Provides leadership to faculty within the programs.

·Serve on Department and University committees.

·Assumes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

·Academic nursing master’s or doctoral degree (MSN, DNP or PhD) from a regionally accredited university

·Two years of experience in teaching in nursing undergraduate or graduate programs

§Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex regulations, policies, and requirements.

·Experience managing projects.

·Knowledge of clinical placement and compliance platforms.

§Previous academic administrative experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

·Active membership in state and national professional associations
