Responsibilities
University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.
The Clinical Educator provides oversight and assistance in maintaining regulatory standards, by engaging in performance improvement activities and education of all new and existing clinical staff at University Behavioral Center. This Clinical Educator will work with the interdisciplinary team to assure efficient communication within the healthcare teams related to educational needs of clinical staff. Clinical staff includes Nursing, Milieu, and Clinical Services. This Clinical Educator is responsible for utilizing and maintaining the educational and training initiatives and tools used at this facility including software, training classes, and comprehensive skills assessments.

Qualifications
Education/Training:
5+ years’ experience in a psychiatric nursing setting (Required)
Degree as a Registered Nurse is Required
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (or appropriate multi-state licensure)
BLS Required
Licensure/Certification:
Current CPR Certification
Current First Aid Certification
Successful completion of HWC (Handle with Care) training, including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass competency exams within 90 days of hire. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
