Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a well experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our local projects within the Orlando, FL region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program

  • Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members

  • Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures

  • Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards

  • Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit

  • Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative

  • Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues

  • Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits

  • Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program

  • Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members

  • Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures

  • Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards

  • Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods

  • Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education, including 2 years of leadership

  • Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence

  • Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities

  • Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)

  • FDOT Advanced MOT

  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)

  • To be achieved by Project NTP

  • Six years of engineering experience

  • Two of those years involved in relevant transportation projects

  • Master's Degree in Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,004.00 - $203,508.00.
