Position Announcement

 

Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Mom Fulton's Cafe Supervisor! Working under the manager's direction, the supervisor supervises all aspects of the Mom Fulton's Cafe on UVU campus. Manages daily operations, customer service, scheduling, and physical upkeep of the facility.

 

The standard schedule for this position is 8 AM - 3 PM Monday-Friday; occasional flexibility may be required for early or late hours. If you believe your availability aligns with our needs, please provide details of your availability.

 

Summary of Responsibilities

 

• 35% Oversees daily operations of the Bytes & Brew Cafe in accordance with operations manual guidelines. Assists in operational functions, including scheduling, hiring and training employees and any issues which require attention.

• 30% Responds to user needs and customer demands. Inspects food handling and safety standards to ensure that all established standards are maintained.

• 15% Trains employees on proper procedures for customer service, cash handling, and front of the house service to meet operational standards.

• 10% Audits cash handling procedures by tracking for overages/shortages and takes appropriate action, as necessary.

• 10% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree plus one year of experience in a related field or any combination of education and/or experience related to the position classification summary totaling a minimum of three years.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

 

Knowledge

 

• Knowledge of local Health Department requirements pertaining to sanitation and food safety.

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment.

• Knowledge of cooking and food service methods.

 

Skills

 

• Skill in recipe cost management, cost controls, and record keeping.

• Skill in problem-solving and decision-making.

• Skill in customer service.

• Skill in interpersonal communications.

 

Abilities

 

• Ability to supervise a team.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

• Ability to plan, create, and compute menus.
