Aerotek Maintenance Technician $35+HR in Oregon, Ohio

Maintenance Technician | $30-40/HR | 3rd Shift

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production. This role involves a blend of electrical and mechanical duties, as well as troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan corrective actions to maintain production and quality.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Test newly installed or refurbished equipment to ensure it meets specifications and safety standards.

  • Respond to maintenance issues when production has stopped due to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic problems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory of maintenance equipment and parts.

  • Troubleshoot 3 Phase, Motor tests, frequency drive basics, sensors/switches, troubleshoot all terminal points, understand electrical prints, PLC; test I/O; Heating elements; Relays.

  • Order new parts as necessary.

  • Install and maintain program modifications for all machines.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for installation and removal of equipment.

  • Troubleshoot PLCs and robots.

  • Troubleshoot pumps, valves, cylinders, heat exchangers.

  • Read hydraulic blueprints.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • GED or high school diploma.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.

  • PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fanuc).

  • Experience with 480v, 3-phase, sensors, and relays.

  • Experience with pneumatics valves and fittings.

  • Hydraulic experience, including pumps, valves, hydraulic prints, seals, and heat exchangers.

  • Robotics: navigate teach pendants, backup to controller, backup to external, modify/teach points, replace motors, annual maintenance, troubleshoot TP error messages.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding.

  • Injection molding experience.

  • Bilingual.

The company has a diverse range of automotive business and offers an attractive PTO policy. Contractors will earn 40 hours of PTO after going direct at 90 days, an additional 20 hours at 6 months, and 80 hours at 1 year. They can roll over 40 hours of PTO each year and will be paid out for anything over that. Employees can earn an additional day of PTO each quarter with perfect attendance and an extra 6 days if they maintain perfect attendance throughout the year.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled with all new machinery, much of which is automated/robotic. There are two openings on the 3rd shift position from 8:30 pm to 7:00 am, Monday night to Friday morning, with a .75 shift differential. Employees must be open to working overtime, as the current workload requires 60 hours a week. The company manufactures molded carpets and noise cancellation products. Steel-toe boots are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
